We are please to announce that our Olio Presto Extra Virgin Olive Oil has been awarded a gold medal in the 5th annual New York International Olive Oil Competition. It is an honor to be in the world’s largest olive oil competition surrounded by exquisite brands all over the world. Last year our Olio Presto Monovarietale Itrana Extra Virgin Olive Oil was also awarded a gold medal.
The New York International Olive Oil Competition panel of judges is made of 15 expert tasters from all over the world. On April 27, 2017, with over 900 entries from 27 countries, the winners were announced. Our category, Italian olive oil brands, took home most of the awards for the third year in a row. Curtis Cord, the founder of the NYIOOC and the publisher of Olive Oil Times said before unveiling the winners, “We are not here only to celebrate the winners of this competition, we’re here for a much bigger purpose — to recognize and applaud every producer who has set out to craft the best olive oil possible under whatever conditions you faced this time.”
